Wes is the benefactor of great mentorship
Having not attended film school, Wes evolved into the filmmaker he is today through pivotal mentorships, generously offered by influential creatives. Rob Pfaltzgraf gave him his first break as a PA on Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game, introducing Wes to set life and teaching him the fundamentals of producing a film. Andrew Sodroski became a vital source of guidance, collaborating with Wes over the course of a year to develop the award-winning spec script, President Edith Wilson, guiding him from concept to completion. In 2024, Wes was brought on as the creative assistant to director Dean Israelite, where he gained firsthand experience in meetings and project development, expanding his understanding of the industry. During this time, he also re-connected with long-time mentor, Oden Roberts, who supported Wes in producing his debut feature, How to Start a Cult in 5-Easy Steps.
With the support and wisdom of these, and many other, creatives, Wes has grown into a confident and well-rounded filmmaker. To all who have contributed to this journey, thank you for your generosity and belief in me!
